Busan, South Korea

Salam, Hi and Annyeong.

Busan is so "Bosan". HAHAHA. Okay no seriously,not much there or maybe expected too much bout Busan. Went to Busan 2 weeks before the ending of Level 2 class with students from Semyung University. The first time we met were during "Hope for All" program and they said didn't expect me to say "YES,I want to join!" because we barely knew each other. Actually I'm also surprised that I said that. I'm usually a shy girl when meeting with first time but in Korea,I decided to be a brave girl whenever I saw Malaysian. You know that happy feeling because you meet your people in a foreign country. I'm weird. HAHA.

Went to their place at Jechon by bus and it tooks me about 2hours and then we continue our journey to Busan by KTX (sort of like a bullet train), Korean railroad. And it tooks us about 5hour and of course what we did was sleep along the trip. My favorite things to do in transportation. HAHAHA. 

First thing we did as soon we arrive Busan was, prepared to perform Fajr Salah at the station and as soon we done with Salah, we move right away to Haeundae Beach to watch sunrise. And the view was outstanding!. It is so breathtaking. All of us can't stop praising Allah for the beautiful view He showed us. Nature is indeed a very beautiful and mesmerizing thing.

After check in to 24Guesthouse, we continue our journey around Busan. Day 1, we went to Busan Tower, Busan Mosque and Taejongdae. And uh, along the journey, we used subway and bus as our main transportation. And some of the place were placed to far from each other and we ended up sleeping through the journey xD. And for second day we went to Gamcheon Village and some temple. I didnt go to the temple as I need to go back to Seoul first.

Taejongdae. The view here is also pretty. We took shuttle bus to go around Taejongdae but we didnt stop as we were rushing to go to other place.

Gamcheon Village. It is sooo beautiful up there people. We spent about... 1hr up there taking the same pictures.

Until we feel hungry. We just too lazy to move to other location and were so happy when we were moving for Lunch. 

If you come to Busan, one thing you must try is their seafood. YES SEAFOOOOOD. It is a seafood heaven here in Busan. Plus the prices are cheaper than Seoul, and the Ajumma and Ajushi are so nice that they gave us moorreee as service. I love you people. We ate these seafood at Jalgachi Market. The seafood were all so fresh! Since the market is nearby with beach, the seafood are so fresh and delicious. We can choose which meat we want and at that time they were still alive. 

I prefer lobster than the King Crab because it has more meat and fat!. I love fat meat. haha. And uh, not so expensive, maybe because we divided for 10 people? kekeke. If you want to try, you should bring more friend so you can pay less. You get what I mean? No? Oke. Duh. 

Maybe there's still lots of things to do in Busan. Maybe hiking a mountain? But since we were lack of time, we only been to famous place and for each place we only spend a little time. Only when meals we spent lots of time. Oh man, I love the seafoood. 

The holiday with these students kind off change a bit of my way of thinking.

Through the holiday, they will make a game, motivated us.

And some of them debate. And when they debate, they will use word from Sunnah or pick up some ayah from AlQuran.

These ladies are amazing. I wish I can change and become good like them.

Hope to meet them again.

I dont know why I'm so happy meeting with Malaysia in Korea.

Injae, Gangwondo : Family Day KUK ( Kelab Umno Korea)

This was the accommodation for the 2days trips. An old school(I think so) that have been customized to be an accommodation. When we stayed there, there were also a group of primary school student staying there. 

Second day we went to Mt.Seorak. The course the guide lead us is a simple course that doesnt require to much of energy and hiking. The view was breathtaking!. Oh I love Autumn. :)

On the first day, right after we arrived Gangwondo we were split into 2 teams and had Paintball tournament(?) and rode ATV. 

And uuuuh! I also made my first Bungee Jump. Geesh, Proud of myself. 

2days 1Night with them, not able to know each of them but am happy that they accept me with open heart and make sure everything is okay during the event. Thank You for the memories people. Seriously I'm so happy meeting with Malaysian after a long time :). 

Can I meet you guys again in the future? 

And even if we meet at a road, can you wave or at least smile at me?

Met Malaysian Community! Oh Happy.

Since the last post, I've been to lots of interesting around Seoul and see amazing things along the trip. It's just that I'm just being a lazy ass to update bout it. Since I finally have great stories and places to share around Seoul, I make this blog full with my stories (of course..duh).

You know what make me feel happy the most when I'm in Seoul for 4 months? When I met Malaysian walking here and there in Seoul and smile at me. I feel like I'm at home when I see someone smile at me. Korean peoples' smiles are so expensive. It is hard to see them smiling at you or maybe they are afraid with foreigner. Well, maybe because Malaysian are murah dengan senyuman. /lupe english laa/. That's what I miss about Malaysia, the smile though sometimes it is not sincere. HAHAHA.

So, aside from Malaysian having their vacation and I become not official tour guide for them (3 groups okay so far,hebat la tu.hahha), I join this Malaysian Scholar Student Activity here in Seoul. The program which they are open for public. So far I joined 2 programmes that were managed by them which is 'Hope For All' and 'KUK Family Day'. Uh, KUK stand for Kelab Umno Korea. No, there is no such thing of political kinda of thing with this club. It is where the students can get together and able to meet with some Ministers of Malaysia like Khairy Jamaluddin. (I envy them...ggrrr).

'Hope For All' programme is where we help a bit the homeless there by giving some foods and warm blanket for them to continue their day thorough this chill autumn. Not only helping them by giving the staff but I believe this is also one way of da'wah. Show them that Islam is not bad like what they heard on News. But Malaysian people in Malaysia are arguing and debating about why we did this programme whilst in Malaysia there are still lots of people who needs helps. I don't this this kind of people lack of knowledge or dont read much news or anything but we also did the same thing helping people in need. "Soup Kitchen". But, yeah, we loves to search something wrong in someone kindness and make it looks like as a sinful thing as if we did the most kindness in this world and we dont have any sinful and we are guaranteed to enter the Jannah. 

The event was the second time I met with Malaysian student. The first time was during Eid Fitri. And I was the only participant which is not a scholar student. To tell you the truth, I do feel nervous about this. Back then in Malaysia I hate joining this kind of meet up. I hate meet stranger. I hate introducing myself. But since I kinda feel a bit lonely and miss Malaysia, I joined this. Thankfully the student accept me and make some new friends. We even had a planned to go vacation together. (I love these people).

After 'Hope For All', I joined 'KUK Family Day' on exact the same day. Made new friends again and had fun with them. Seriously, they accepted me and treated me so kindly. I feel more nervous about this than 'Hope For All' because I'll be spending 2 Days 1 Night with them which is more time spending with them. Talked a lot with them and most of them kinda curious why I came to Korea, and surprised when I said I study Language only. Yeah, it make them shock. And they even shocked and envious that I stayed with foreigners as I can practice more Korean Language. During Family Day, we ride ATV, played Paintball, walk around Seorak Mountain and I even did Bungee Jump!. Yesh. My first Bungee Jump. So happy I did that. Once in a lifetime babe. 

These Malaysian people, I hope I can meet them again. But until now, I still didn't meet them yet. Either at the road or by planning to meet. I even change my track course back after finish class so that I can 'accidently' met them thorough Korea University until Bomun Station. But naaah, not my fate to meet them. I'm hoping that I can meet them more after this. I'll be delighted to join the program that  managed by them only if it is open for public. Hmm..

Autumn : 2nd Session

Salam, Hi and Hello,

It has been 2 weeks since my second semester studying Korean Language start. And for this time, I'm separated from Takara. Need to go through once again in getting to know the new classmates and trying to remember their name and it is hard as they are Chinese....In 1 month maybe I can remember their name.

Anyhow, Autumn is here! and the weather is getting chiller here and I still can't get to use to this weather yet. And my clothes are all thin clothes which are only for summer. Trying to save my budget to buy autumn and winter clothing. ㅠㅠ.

Many things happen during my last vacation and I go many places since Tongin Market. I'm just being Nabilah. The laziness to update my blog. Been to Everland with discount price during Chuseok Day, Picnic at Hangang Park, become an unofficial tour guide to my friend and jyeah I kinda make them lost?.Hahaha. oh yeah, I also able to watch Asian Game 2014. I watch Badminton to support Malaysia. It is a great experience to be able to support Malaysia and able to watch it live in front of your eyes. 

And I also went to work for my education agent for 1 week. The last week of my holiday. And it is hard. Make me stress. No money, but they treated lunch, but it is good for experience. So maybe going there again for experience after class end though it is hard. But everyone go through hardness to be the best. So you can do it Nabilah.

Tomorrow and next week I'll going to many places. Awesome place with great plans. Gotta do many things while in Korea. Gain lots of experience as possible.

Tongin Market (통인 시장)

Salam, Hi and Annyeong!.

Another class trip and this time we went to Tongin Market (통인 시장). This market is famous with Dosirak Cafe (도시락 카페). Dosirak means bento/bekal/lunch box. Hah gitu. If I'm not mistaken, Running Man did film one of their episode here so... I was so excited upon reaching the place. Wohoo!

Tongin Market is close with the Blue House (청와대), The President House. We went to Blue House first as our first pit stop and make a tour around that area. And there's a lot of Chinese tourist! Our Chinese classmates are not that impressed with the amounts of their 'relatives'.ok no,just kidding. And handsome and pretty police are everywhere. Its Blue House, of course it needs a really tight security. But uh, abe Korea in police uniform is so handsome. 

Okay so basically, in front of Blue House there's another building which is the Exhibition Hall for the tourist. There's a lot of things and mostly Historical things from previous ages, prime minister and until current Prime Minister. But since we already aiming for food, we didnt take too much attention in the Exhibition Hall. Everybody was so hungry and we off to Tongin Market after about 45 minute spend sometime at Blue House. 

From Blue House to Tongin Market it took about 15 minute by walk. Oh, we took bus from Kookmin University to Blue House. Bus 7211. But of course you can take a subway. From Gyeongbokgung Station (Seoul Subway Line 3,Orange Color) take exit 2 and continue straight for about 700m. The market will be on your left. So what so special about this Tongin Market? What come into your mind when you heard bout market? YES FOODS!. Dosirak Cafe is open from 11a.m- 4.00 p.m only. 

With 5,000 won, you will get a food tray and tradition coin. And the coin is 500Won each. Along the market there will be lots of food. LOTS OF FOOOD,so heaven~. You only can use the coin where there's Dosirak Cafe sign is stated. And one food cost only bout 1-2 coins. So,can you imagine how many foods you can have with 5,000 won? MANY FOODS. And for Muslims, you need to choose the foods wisely. Ask the ajumma how it makes, does it have meat or not?. Before I choose the foods, I usually go to stall that don't sell any meat. So the kitchen utensils are safe from any Meat or Pork. Tteokbokki (떡볶이) is the safest food. And I looove tteokbokki. Odeng (오뎅) is also safe to eat as it is only fish cake but it is no harm for you to ask how the soup was made from. Ahjummas and Ahjusshi here are so kind. They answered my questions patiently though I asked for many times.

Eid Mubarak

Salam, Hi and Annyeong.

Happy Eid Mubarak to all Muslims around the world. This year, celebrating Eid Mubarak far from family and also the first time at Oversea. To tell you the truth, I do feel pretty sad celebrating this Eid alone. Unable to eat the delicious Malaysian foods that usually can be seen during Eid is a bit a loss for me. Rendang, Nasi Minyak, Nasi Dagang, Cakes, Desserts, and many more delicacies that you only can see during Raya and, you can eat it for free!. Ha Ha Ha. Of course, its only happen when you visited your family and friends house. But hey, you still can save some money when you visit to their house and eat delicious foods while catching up the latest news about them. 

So, this Eid, I never thought that listening to a Takbir would be very emotional things for me. The past 22 years of my entire life during Eid, Takbir only brings one thing for me, which is the announcement of Eid. And I would be so happy when I heard Takbir because Ramadhan already ended and Eid is coming. Well, that was when I'm unmatured girl. Ha Ha Ha. But this year takbir brings another meaning for me as I started to shed tears. 

The last iftar for this Ramadhan, I finally able to meet with the others Malaysian at Malaysian Embassy. YES! Finally, MALAYSIAN!. Had iftar together with them and Oh My God, I miss talking and smile to Malaysian people!. I kinda miss when people smile at me. I used to get confused when stranger smiled at me back in Malaysia, but now I can miss it. Malaysian are generous with smile. Though maybe my face is weird that is why they suddenly smile at me. But heh, it does make me feels good sometime. Feel like " I must be so cute and they feel want to squeeze me that's why they smile at me". HAHAHA.

Okay, back to the topic. Luckily adik have friend studying here, Alia, so I always contact here during Ramadhan  and make a sympathetic emoticon so that she wont leave me on Eid Mubarak. And thanx to her I didn't feel lonely on the last day of Ramadhan and the first day of Eid Mubarak. The first day of Eid Mubarak, woked up early with a happy mind, ate half-burned toast and off to Mosque at Itaewon. Arrived almost 8 a.m. and oh my, I'm so early. The prayer started late at 10 a.m. So I just recite Takbir along with them and shed tears until Alia's friend arrived. At the end of the prayer, I'm pretty shocked because there are full of Muslims! Unable to take picture of myself in front of the mosque because there's people here and there wishing Eid Mubarak to each other. And they're tall. Hard for me to find the exit path. haha.

After the Prayer, followed Alia and her friends to one of Malaysia JPA representative at Hangangjin. I forgot the Dato' name. hee. But there were lots of Malaysia foods that specially for Eid Mubarak. There's Rendang,Soto, Kuih Raya and many more!. and made new friend over there. She's also alone in Korea, so both of us are loner that followed Adik-adik for Raya. Both of us didnt want to leave the house at all because we might feel sad when we go back to house. So, after we fed our self with all the foods for about 2-3hours, we make our move to Myeongdong to take a stroll while waiting for sunset. heh, pretty sad huh?

But, we were so glad because of the decision we made. At least we didnt feel lonely and sad by surrounding our self with lots of people along the Myeongdong. We spent our time really well at Myeongdong. Went to Cat Cafe to play with the cats. Able to take a glimpse of Suju Oppa there. It is like a present for us on Eid Mubarak. Lucky us!. keke.
